"Those who reach touch the stars".  I'm not too sure who initially wrote this quotation, but I love it.  Over the Christmas break, I have seen many artists work online.  Although at many different stages of careers and levels of ability, it is wonderful to see so many people with aspirations and desires to move forward and up in the art world.  The internet makes it possible for us to share and give encouragement.

At whatever stage you are,  remember, you may need to check that you're heading in the right direction, but with determination you can touch them!  This New Year brings opportunities to us all, choose them carefully and aim high!

  5. I love the dramatic wet-in-wet sky & the sparkling water in this painting. Did you paint around the white areas or mask them out first?

    1. Hi Erica, thanks for your comment. This was painted, not by using masking fluid, but by painting around the shapes.

  6. Love your paintings and blog. The words you mention 'Those who reach touch the stars' are similar to words of an American lady called Flavia Weedn who brought out a beautiful range of cards in the late 80' 90's under 'flavia' with words like 'These are the best of times, this very moment is filled with magic' Just one of dozens of titles and now sadly missed as I don't think you can get them any more.? but they all tugged at your heart. Not sure if your words are by her or not? Many thanks for sharing with us your talent!
